Why Choose SAIL SeQR TMT for Assam?
Earthquake resistant
SeQR bars are made for seismic zones. All of Assam and the North East is in Zone V, the highest seismic risk category in India.
Virgin steel from ore
SAIL makes steel from iron ore in its own integrated plants, not from scrap, so the chemistry is consistent from bar to bar.
Fe 500D & Fe 550D
The 'D' grades have tighter limits on carbon, sulphur and phosphorus and higher elongation, so bars bend without cracking.
IS 1786 certified
Manufactured to IS 1786 by Steel Authority of India Ltd, a Maharatna public sector company.

Where can I buy SAIL TMT bars in Guwahati?

What is SAIL SeQR TMT?
SeQR (pronounced 'secure') is SAIL's brand of earthquake-resistant TMT bars, made in Fe 500D and Fe 550D grades. The bars have a tough outer layer and a softer, ductile core, which lets them absorb shock and bend without breaking.
What is the weight of a 12mm SAIL TMT bar?
A 12mm TMT bar weighs about 0.889 kg per metre, or about 10.67 kg for a standard 12-metre rod. So one tonne of 12mm contains roughly 94 rods. See the full SAIL TMT weight chart above for all sizes.
How do I identify genuine SAIL TMT bars?
Genuine SAIL bars carry SAIL's identification marking rolled onto the bar at regular intervals. Always buy from an established dealer, ask for a GST invoice, and ask for the mill test certificate for large orders.
Is SAIL TMT better than other TMT brands?
SAIL is India's largest steel maker and a government company making primary steel from iron ore. Many government, PWD and infrastructure projects specify SAIL. For homes in Assam's earthquake zone, the SeQR Fe 500D grade is a popular choice. Your structural engineer should confirm the grade for your project.
Do you deliver SAIL TMT bars outside Guwahati?
